Want to travel the world an get paid for it?
Well, an Australian self-made millionaire is offering one lucky person the chance to do just that.
Matthew Lepere, a 31-year-old e-commerce entrepreneur from Sydney, is looking for a personal assistant to take on the “world’s coolest job” and you just have to go to his company’s website to apply.
Lepere has travelled to over 30 countries in the past five years, spending time in the United Arab Emirates, Costa Rica, USA, Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Cyprus and Greece, and now, as his business grows, he needs an assistant to travel with him.
“I’ve been travelling non-stop, meeting with key clients, helping them grow their business. I’m looking for a right-hand person to be able to help me on my travels,” Lepere said in a statement.
Lepere, who is the founder of e-commerce business Ecom Warrior Academy, said that while no PA experience is necessary, applicants must be passionate about travelling, have a current passport, a flexible schedule and strong attention to detail.
Lepere, who dropped out of a dentistry degree at university to follow his passion for e-commerce, previously hired a full-time assistant in 2020 during the pandemic, saddened by how many young Australians were left jobless and struggling during lockdown.
Social media model Tyanna De Assis beat 60,000 applicants to land the work-from-home role.
But with his business growing, Lepere said he now needs someone to travel with him full-time.
“I am now looking to recruit another hardworking employee to help me within my business.
“I’m looking for a right-hand person to be able to help me on my travels and admin tasks.”
Lepere said the successful applicant will be paid a good salary, have all travel and accommodation expenses paid for, while also being provided with health insurance, but must be prepared to keep up with the pace of his jet-set lifestyle.
Lepere has founded four growing online businesses and he is keen to share his expertise.
“We inspire and encourage people around the world to live life on their terms,” he said, according to The Sun.
He said he has been able to live his “ideal life” and he wants to bring a young person along for the ride.
The self-made millionaire has come a long way from his humble beginnings in Sydney’s western suburbs.
Lepere was raised by a single mother, who relied on food drops from The Salvation Army.
But his childhood struggles have fuelled his sky-high ambitions to succeed and become a respected titan in the e-commerce industry.
Lepere moved to Melbourne at the age of 23 to study dentistry, like his mum wanted, but soon realised it wasn’t for him.
He moved back to Sydney after just a matter of weeks and bagged a string of manual labour gigs to help finances at home.
But in his spare time, the Aussie spent endless hours researching how to start his own business before being taught the basics by a coach.
Just six months after ditching uni, he launched his first e-commerce business, marking the start of his journey to the top. His mother has been able to give up work, while Lepere continues to climb the business ladder – while visiting the few countries that remain on his bucket list.
