Special Report: New Age Exploration has completed its maiden RC drilling program at the Wagyu gold project in WA, with assays expected later this month.

Wagyu is adjacent to De Grey Mining’s (ASX:DEG) major Hemi gold project in the West Pilbara.

This 3,023m for 33-hole program was the first of its kind at the project, testing five key gravity targets across the eastern side of the project, and followed up from AC drilling last year, which intercepted gold mineralisation.

Drilling encountered variable geology across the targets, including several intermediate intrusions and significant alteration, which New Age Exploration (ASX:NAE) says may be related to Hemi-style gold mineralisation.

Assays are expected in late April to May and are expected to assist in planning follow-up AC drilling planned for Q2 2025 as NAE continues its systematic exploration of the Wagyu corridor.

Follow-up AC drilling this year

"The completion of our first RC program at Wagyu is a significant milestone,” NAE executive director Joshua Wellisch said.

“We are proud of the team’s efforts to deliver the program safely and efficiently, and we now look forward to receiving assay results that will guide the next phase of exploration across this promising tenure."

Post-drilling activities are now underway, including drillhole collar surveying across AC and RC programs and the rehabilitation of 130+ drilling pads and ~14km of tracks.
