Australian dollar hovering ahead of RBA minutes

THE Australian dollar is hovering above 93 US cents as investors await the release of the minutes of the Reserve Bank’s August board meeting.

THE Australian dollar is hovering above 93 US cents as investors await the release of the minutes of the Reserve Bank’s August board meeting.

At 0630 AEST on Tuesday, the local currency was trading at 93.23 US cents, up from 93.17 cents on Monday.

The Australian dollar got a boost overnight following the release of weak figures from the US showing unemployment rates rose in 30 US states last month.
