Luxury motor yacht builder Maritimo has expanded its next-generation model line-up with the global launch of the all-new M50 Flybridge and the S60 Sedan at the largest boat show in the southern hemisphere.

The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show starts on Thursday and is expected to attract more than 43,000 visitors, 330 plus exhibitors, over 760 boats and 2500 marine products.

The boat show showcases everything from superyachts, personal watercraft and marine technology to fishing vessels, trailerable boats, sailing catamarans and powerboats and will contribute more than $400m to the Queensland economy.

Maritimo has been a major exhibitor at the boat show in the past and has high hopes for its 15m three-level M50 Flybridge and its new 18m S60 Sedan motor yachts.

Maritimo’s owner and founder Bill Barry-Cotter said over the past 20 years the company has

constantly refined its vessels to ensure their yachts remain world-class in safety, luxury, and reliability.

“The M50 and the S50 Sedan epitomises everything Maritimo stands for,” he said.

“Its exterior beauty, functional interior, and grand accommodations offer owners and guests exceptional space and comfort.

“Every square centimetre has been carefully considered. We’re confident it will be enjoyed

by Maritimo owners worldwide,” he said.

More than 900 guests have booked in to view both vessels while Maritimo is flying in prospective clients from Sydney, Melbourne, New Zealand and Asia.

However, the company refused to talk about likely price the vessels will fetch with purchases based on a price on application process because each buyer will personally customise their boat from the beginning when they place their order.

Maritimo’s marketing manager Simon Stewart said they “never rest on our laurels”.

“Every new model stays true to the Maritimo ethos while standing distinctively on its own,” he said.

“The M50, and soon-to-follow S50 Sedan, are outcomes of our collaborative work with owners and stakeholders.

“It’s a balance of showing the market what we can do while listening to what they want — and with the M50, we’ve enhanced that balance.”
