All natural sports nutrition brand Fixx Nutrition – whose success was built on an all-natural pickle juice offering fast relief for muscle cramps – is heading to the US.

The Gold Coast-based company, founded eight years ago by Jan and Michelle Buchegger, has an exclusive distribution partnership with America’s leading eCommerce marketplace for endurance athletes nutritional needs, The Feed.

The deal will see Fixx Nutrition gain access to one of the largest providers of nutritional supplements for endurance athletes in the world as it prepares to launch into the US.

Jan Buchegger says the partnership represented “one of the most significant milestones’ for the company since its inception.

“It provides us access to the world’s single largest marketplace for endurance athletes, the United States,” he says.

“With this step, Fixx Nutrition truly becomes a global sports nutrition brand as we seek to establish ourselves as the leading provider of sports supplements for endurance athletes – both amateur and professional.

“We’re already experiencing significant inquiries from the United States and we predict that this new distribution deal will see our sales and growth volumes significantly expand as we gain access to a whole new market.”

The company started after the Bucheggers sold their previous business, food manufacturer and supplier Fehlbergs Fine Foods, to Australian food giant Riviana.

Their first product was CrampFix which was an all-natural pickle juice and is now sold to more than a 1000 retailers in Australia.

Fun being green

Warren Ebert’s Sentinel Property Group is going green.

The fund manager is offering investors the opportunity to get involved in a 25 per cent stake in Queensland’s BOSSCAP Group.

The company supplies the Ford F-150 Lightning, the EV version in America’s F-series the so-called best-selling pick-up truck in the world, to the Australian and Asia-Pacific markets after re-manufacturing them from left to right-hand drive at their Brisbane factory.

City Beat understands the United Nations, mining giant Rio Tinto, RACQ, GB Auto and Brisbane Airport Corporation are already using the F-150 Lightning, with BAC operating electric F-150s on the tarmac as airside safety vehicles instead of diesel-powered vehicles.

The mining sector is a major target with mandatory decarbonisation for mines by 2030 driving large emitters to replace thousands of light vehicles in the resources industry with electric models.

There is also further growth potential in government, utilities, and other international right-hand drive markets seeking to meet emissions targets.

Sentinel is launching a $20m capital raising, with investors offered a projected distribution of 7.24 per cent per annum with a projected internal rate of return of 25-30 per cent per annum over five years.

Sentinel CEO Warren Ebert says they are happy to be backing BOSSCAP chief executive Eddie Kocwa due to the strong environmental, social and governance credentials of his business.

“This is a great opportunity to invest in green when it is in the black and not the red,” he says.

“Eddie is helping major companies reduce their emissions and building an industry that will boost the national economy.

“His business is vertically integrated and controls all stages of the supply chain from importation, homologation, re-manufacturing, sales, upfit, spare parts, and unmatched onsite support.”
