Australia’s biggest rival airlines have slashed prices on nearly half a million flights to top domestic and international destinations, ramping up competition just days after Qantas launched its own major sale.
Jetstar has introduced its “Takeoff More Sale,” slashing prices on more than 450,000, with some starting as low as $29.
Domestic destinations on offer include one-way fares from Sydney to Ballina from $29, Adelaide to Hobart from $29, Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Hamilton Island from $110 and Sydney to Uluru from $110.
For international getaways, travellers can fly from Darwin to Bali from $165 one way, Melbourne to Singapore from $289, Brisbane to Seoul from $269, and Sydney to Osaka from $349.
“When Jetstar launched in 2004, we had $29 sale fares – and two decades later, we’re still offering $29 sale fares,” Jetstar Group CEO, Stephanie Tully, said.
“With a growing fleet of modern aircraft, an expanding network and solid operational performance, Jetstar is offering more great value for our customers.”
Covering over 100 routes, the Takeoff More Sale runs until Monday, March 3, unless sold out earlier.
Travel periods vary by route, with domestic flights available from late April 2025 to late January 2026, and international flights from mid-March to mid-December 2025. Club Jetstar members can access additional discounts.

“We know our customers want great fares with exceptional service and we are always ready to go the extra mile to offer the best deals and experiences in the sky.”
