Children’s pyjamas have been pulled from the shelves of all H&M stores around Australia for failing to pass fire safety standards.

The ACCC issued a product safety recall on the children’s all-in-one fleece body suit in pink and blue.

The pyjamas did not have the required fire hazard labelling, which failed to comply with the mandatory safety standard for children’s nightwear.

An ACCC spokesman said there was a risk of serious burn injuries if the pyjamas were exposed to a heat or flame source.

“Consumers may not be aware of this hazard,” the spokesman said.

The ACCC recommended that people stop using the pyjamas immediately and return them to their nearest H&M store for a full refund.

No receipt is required for a refund.

The product was available for sale between February and June this year.
