Customers of one of the nation’s major banks have been left in the lurch after a major outage left them unable to access their money.
Commonwealth Bank sent out a message to their customers on Monday morning informing them of a time out issue with their app and Netbank services.
“We’re aware some customers are experiencing difficulties accessing some of our services and we are urgently investigating,” the bank said in a statement shared on its social media accounts.
“We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. We’ll provide an update soon.”
The problem has left some Aussies stuck at the checkout, with one woman responding to the bank’s Facebook post claiming she was unable to transfer money to buy her groceries.
“Just had to ditch the shopping at Coles ‘cause I couldn’t transfer money over from one account to my card account,” the woman wrote.
“Awesome when I’m at the chemist getting medication for my unwell children. Thanks Commbank,” another said.
“Yeah awesome just put fuel in my car great work commbank,”a third wrote.
Some customers reported being unable to access ATMs on Monday morning, while others have said they are unable to see their current account balance.
NCA NewsWire has contacted Commonwealth Bank for comment.
