That's all from the Trading Day blog for Monday, February 10. The ASX 200 index closed down 0.3 per cent at 8,482.8 points with iron ore miners, CAR Group Macquarie, Goodman and JB Hi-Fi the biggest drags.
On Friday, Wall Street's major indexes closed deep in the red. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones closed down 1 per cent and the technology-focused Nasdaq shed 1.4 per cent.
Cryptocurrency giant bitcoin is just above $US95,000.
The Aussie dollar is trading around US62.54c.
