The BDO Fast Movers program, which recognises and rewards the state’s fastest growing companies, has launched its 2025 program, and is celebrating two decades profiling South Australia’s innovators.

The program was launched in 2005 as a joint venture between In-Business magazine, which is no longer published, and BDO, to raise the profile of successful SA businesses.

BDO partner and Adelaide office managing partner Rudy Pieck said the program had been pivotal in documenting the changing face of business.

“From pioneering digital strategies to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, we’ve

witnessed South Australian businesses demonstrating resilience and ingenuity,’’ Mr Pieck said.

“They have not only thrived but also set new benchmarks for excellence over the last two decades.”

The program has created a large network of alumni businesses over the years, with previous winners including data intelligence company Fivecast, last year’s winner Bunnik Tours, disaster relief housing company Humanihut, Foxie Games and Haneco Lighting.

“This milestone is an opportunity for us to reflect on the positive impact we’ve made and the

relationships we’ve built. Together with our sponsors, we’ve seen countless businesses unlock

new growth opportunities,” Mr Pieck said.

“South Australia is home to some of the most dynamic and innovative businesses in Australia.

As we mark our 20th year, we are proud to continue to celebrate the spirit of

entrepreneurship and innovation in this great state

“South Australia’s businesses are growing fast, and we’re excited to continue amplifying their

stories.

“As we look to the future, the Fast Movers program remains committed to celebrating

and nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship that defines South Australia.”

The 2025 program is now open for nominations, and will remain open until midnight on Sunday, March 23.

More than $150,000 worth of prizes is on offer, and the program identifies the Top 25 finalists, with first, second and third place winners plus special award categories Excellence in Business and Fastest Employment Growth.

The first prize includes a fully subsidised place in the University of South Australia,

Australian Centre for Business Growth’s award-winning programs, a bespoke digital strategy

plan from Market Ease Digital, a brand strategy consultation and report from Floodlight

Content, a Littlelion PR publicity program and a cash prize from BDO.

The Elevated Success Award, launched in 2023, recognises the fastest-growing business with a

minimum turnover of $5m per annum in each of the past three financial years.

To be eligible to enter Fast Movers, businesses must have a minimum turnover of $200,000 in

each of the past three financial years, be headquartered in SA, and derive less than half their

sales from any one customer.
