Commuters reported long delays in the CBD this morning.

The departure of TDU riders and support crews from the city to the Barossa Valley for today's first stage also exacerbated delays this morning.

A burst water main outside the Royal Adelaide Hospital, which has forced the closure of an eastbound lane, also slowed traffic.

Motorists are advised that traffic is likely to be slow going in the city at peak times for the duration of the Tour Down Under.
