Woman charged with murder as toddler’s body found in Melbourne northwest
A 31-year-old woman has been charged with murder less than 24 hours after a toddler was found dead inside a suburban home.

A woman has been charged with murder after a toddler’s body was found in a suburban home in Melbourne’s northwest.
Paramedics and police were called to a property in Dover St, Albanvale, in Melbourne’s west, about 4pm on Monday.
When they arrived they found the 3-year-old dead inside the home.
The street was cordoned off as forensic officers began investigating the circumstances around the child’s death.
At least one person was led away from the scene by police, according to the Herald Sun.
It’s understood the occupants had only moved to the property in recent weeks.
The 31-year-old woman was charged with murder in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
She will appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later in the day.
