The jury has been discharged in the trial of a Sydney man accused of playing a role in the terrorist plot which resulted in the shooting of police employee Curtis Cheng.
Mustafa Dirani was set to stand trial in the NSW Supreme Court, where he has denied playing a role in the terrorist attack which resulted in Mr Cheng being gunned down outside NSW Police headquarters at Parramatta in 2015.
Mr Cheng was shot dead as he walked out of work on October 2, 2015 by radicalised 15-year-old Farhad Jabar, who was killed in a shootout with officers.
The Crown prosecution has alleged Mr Dirani was a confidant of other co-conspirators and with them on the day of the shooting.
Mr Dirani has pleaded not guilty to doing an act in preparation for a terrorist act and supplying a firearm.
His trial was set to begin in the Supreme Court at Parramatta on Tuesday, however the jury was discharged.
The matter will return to court on Monday.
