Man’s body found in creek near Brisbane Westfield

Police have declared a crime scene after a man’s body was found in a creek nearby a busy Westfield.

Police have declared a crime scene after a man’s body was found in a creek nearby a busy Westfield store.

Emergency services were called to Downfall Creek near the Gympie Road exit of Murphy Road in Chermside shortly after 10am.

The body was retrieved from the creek about 11.30am and police are investigating the circumstances of the man’s death.

Detectives remain at the scene, which is nearby Westfield Chermside.
