‘Fast and Furious’: Footage captures horror moment truck loses control on rural Qld road

Confronting footage of a truck slamming into a car on a rural Queensland road has been likened to a moment from the Fast and Furious film franchise.

Horrifying footage has captured a Queensland driver’s narrow escape after a truck lost control and slammed into a car on a rural road.

The dashcam footage, uploaded to social media on Wednesday, has been likened to a moment from the Fast and Furious movie franchise as the truck drifts into the middle of a two-lane road – crashing into the front of the car.

The terrifying accident took place on a rural road at Chambers Flat, about an hour south of Brisbane, in August last year.

The post stated the car driver suffered significant neck and back injuries, with both his back and neck broken in seven different places.

“Front seat snapped all bolts and landed on top of baby seat in rear, luckily no child in car that day.” they wrote.

The motorist was otherwise “recovering well and back on the road now”.

Both vehicles can be seen approaching the tight corner before the truck crashes into the bonnet of the car.

Social media users have likened the smash to a moment from the Fast and Furious film franchise.

‘That truck driver must think he’s in a reboot of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift,” one user wrote.

The footage emerged in the wake of a series of truck crashes across the state.

Two weeks ago four young women were fatally killed after they failed to give way to a semi-trailer near Stanthorpe, located in the state’s south.
