A shock report examining allegations of bullying and sexual misconduct in NSW parliament will be released on Friday.
The independent review by former sex discrimination commissioner Elizabeth Broderick is expected to paint a damning picture of the workplace culture at state parliament.
Press gallery members were sent an email earlier in the week declaring the release date for the report would be moved from Tuesday.
The Parliamentary Services Department said that decision was made based on “a request and further professional advice”.
Staffers who spoke to the review reportedly asked it not be released while parliament was sitting.
The email said the review deals with “some disturbing and sensitive matters”.
It comes at a challenging time for the state government, which has been preoccupied with scandals, including the fallout from the controversial appointment of a former deputy premier to a plum trade job in New York.
Just weeks ago Premier Dominic Perrottet fired his fair trading minister, Eleni Petinos, over allegations she ran an unsafe office.
She denies those allegations.
