Two people are dead after a horror crash in Geelong.
The driver and passenger of one of the vehicles both died at the scene, police said.
The five occupants of the second vehicle, two adults and three children, were injured in the crash.
Paramedics are taking them to hospital with minor injuries.
The crash occurred on Geelong Ring Road in Bell Post Hill about 5.25pm on Thursday.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
There have been 82 lives lost on Victorian roads so far in 2023, a figure considerably higher than the 62 deaths suffered at this time last year.
