A high-ranking member of a prominent Outlaw Motorcycle Gang has been put in a coma after being found unconscious with a black eye at a popular Gold Coast hotel.
Police allege the senior member of the Comanchero bikie gang was found outside a unit block on Como Crescent at Southport on Thursday with “significant” head injuries.
Critical care paramedics and a high acuity unit arrived at the scene of the incident at the Meriton Apartments in Southport at 7.30am.
Paramedics rushed the man to Gold Coast University hospital where he has since been placed into an induced coma.
He remains in a serious condition.
Authorities cannot confirm if the man fell or if he was brutally attacked.
Investigations are ongoing.
