On 16 July, 2020, news.com.au, The Daily Telegraph and The Australian published an article online originally titled “‘Dodgy’ Sydney lawyer sentenced to jail for drug cash scheme”.
The article erroneously included a photograph of distinguished Sydney barrister Mr Leslie Nicholls.
News.com.au, The Daily Telegraph and The Australian unreservedly apologises to Mr Nicholls and his family for this error, and retracts any suggestion that Mr Nicholls was connected to that proceeding.
News.com.au, The Daily Telegraph and The Australian accept Mr Nicholls had nothing at all to do with the proceedings of the subject of the article or any of the matters or persons identified in that article.
