ONE of three people charged over the gruesome killing of a couple on the NSW south coast has been found not guilty of murder.

The bodies of Gregory Hosa, 56, and his wife Kathryn McKay, 44, were found in smouldering metal drums in Tomerang State Forest, south of Nowra, in January 2006.

A NSW Supreme Court jury sitting at Wollongong today found Andrew Wayne Flentjar, 32, not guilty of two counts of murder.

Flentjar and co-accused Kim Leanne Snibson, 37, had both been charged with murder, detaining the couple for advantage and inflicting actual bodily harm.

The crown alleged Snibson, Flentjar and a second man, Stacey Lea-Caton, 28, were all present when the couple were killed in Snibson's Nowra home on January 28 and all helped to get rid of the bodies the following day.

Flentjar last week pleaded guilty to charges of detaining the couple for advantage and inflicting actual bodily harm.

Lea-Caton was sentenced last year after pleading guilty to the murders.

Snibson also pleaded guilty last month and is yet to be sentenced.

A date is yet to be set for Flentjar's sentencing.
