LABOR’S STRAW MAN ARGUES AND GETS IT WRONG

Reece's claim is completely and utterly false. According to the International Energy Agency we’re not even in the top ten carbon dioxide emitters by population. Even the alarmist Climate Council can only nudge us into the top five.

Still, I’m up for a deal with Nick.

Let’s blast our population up to 75 million or so, with all the additional power sources that this increase will require. Sure, it’ll mean greater carbon dioxide emissions overall, but the per capita count will decline massively.

And that’s the priority, right?
