FIGHT LIKE A GIRL
As a peace offering to Clementine Ford I’m posting a link to her recently published first book, a feminist manifesto titled Fight Like a Girl.
As a peace offering to Clementine Ford I’m posting a link to her recently published first book, a feminist manifesto titled Fight Like a Girl.
Readers may purchase Clementine’s book at that link.
There. Perhaps this will even add a few extra book sales. You’re welcome, Ms Ford.
UPDATE. As several readers have pointed out, I accidentally linked to Megan Seely’s 2007 book, also titled Fight Like a Girl. Apologies. Here’s the correct link.
UPDATE II. Oopsie! That last link was to Fight Like a Girl by Laura Barcella. Let’s see if I get it right this time.
UPDATE III. My bad. In error, I linked to a book called Fight Like a Girl by Lisa Bevere (2008). Allow me to try this once again.
UPDATE IV. Oh, this is ridiculous. Somehow, instead of Clementine’s book, I went to a book of the very same title by Harley Flamez. All fixed now.
UPDATE V. Wrong again. That last one was Lori Hartman Gervasi’s Fight Like a Girl. Pretty sure I’ve nailed it now, though.
UPDATE VI. For the love of God … how could I mix up a 2014 compilation called Fight Like a Girl with Clementine Ford’s Fight Like a Girl? Finally, let’s hope ol’ Timmy’s got his links working.
UPDATE VII. Clarification: Kym Rock’s Fight Like a Girl is nothing to do with the book I’m trying to promote, which is here. I think.
UPDATE VIII. Has anyone not written a book titled Fight Like a Girl? Please click to see Clementine’s version.
UPDATE IX. That wasn’t Clementine’s version. It was Fight Like a Girl by Kait Clark. Tech staff tell me they’ve now found the book we're looking for.
UPDATE X. Why is this so damn difficult? The previous link went to Debbie Miller’s 2015 Fight Like a Girl recipe notebook when it was obviously meant to support Clementine.
UPDATE XI. If I could just get it right, all of this publicity might be really helpful:
One more try.
UPDATE XII. Fantastic comeback from Clementine:
I'm sorry my book has already outsold A.Bolt's book, Tim. I'm also sorry no one has ever asked you to write one.
That isn't true. My new book, Fight Like a Girl, will be published next month. Meanwhile, the search for Clementine's manifesto resumes.
UPDATE XIII. I can’t believe it. Here it is. I’ve found it. I’ve finally found it.
UPDATE XIV. Damn everything to hell! This thing is the MH370 of publishing. It’s got to be here somewhere.
UPDATE XV. Good Lord. That last one turned out to be a 2014 Fight Like a Girl comic book, of all things. The pursuit continues.
UPDATE XVI. Apologies again. Lisa Luke Easterling’s Fight Like a Girl is definitely not the great Clementine’s work. Could this be what we seek?
UPDATE XVII. The late Jacob Bowers once wrote of hunting: “No matter what happens, whether you succeed or not, if you stand up and do it right and pay attention, hunting will always give you what you need. It may not be what you were looking for, but it will absolutely be important enough to justify whatever you did to get it.”
None of that is helping me find Clem’s stupid book, however. Why couldn’t she call it something more original, like Catch-22 or Wuthering Heights? Still, never give up, that’s my motto.
UPDATE XVIII. If Clementine Ford’s Fight Like a Girl was a fox, the legs on Jonathan Green’s poor old horse would be worn down to bloody nubs by now. Onwards!
UPDATE XIX. That particular Fight Like a Girl was written by a man, way back in 1988. This is becoming crazy. But I’ll get there eventually, I swear, by relentless process of elimination.
UPDATE XX. That’s it. We’re done here. I cannot go on.
