Mark Steyn’s election prediction: "I'm reasonably confident that Trump will win – but not so confident that he won't have it stolen from him, as is already underway in Pennsylvania and elsewhere."

Mark Steyn’s election prediction: "I'm reasonably confident that Trump will win – but not so confident that he won't have it stolen from him, as is already underway in Pennsylvania and elsewhere."

Accurate call. One of very few from political pundits, as Mark subsequently pointed out:

All the conventional wisdom from the months up to November 3rd was total bollocks, starting with the Big Blue Wave that turned into the weak trickle of a Delaware Old Folks' Home dementia patient's cystitis.

From CNN's Kirsten Powers: “Remember the whole 'revolt of white women grossed out by Trump?' Didn't happen.”

In 2016 Trump won white women by nine points. Last night he won them by twelve.

Please read on for Steyn’s ever-extending list of Democrat devilry. It’s a perfect prelude to Cory Bernardi’s immortal Michigan mail-ins:

Matt Canavan also explores the voting enthusiasm of Michigan’s ultra-elderly:

Even decomposition didn’t stop determined William Bradley from casting his vote:

Trump is said to have “lost the support of seniors” in his bid to retain Michigan. To be fair, it isn’t easy connecting with voters who’ve been dead for several decades.

UPDATE. The latest from Mark Steyn:

The Democrat-media plan is to call Nevada for Biden at some point today, thus making him the President-elect and telling Trump to start packing and lawyer up for his forthcoming criminal trial.

But with every couple of hours it's clear that Fox News called Arizona way too early, and that, if it's an honest count, the probability is that that state will fall back into the Trump column – which, with Georgia, NC and Penn, would be enough to get him past 270.

That's a very big "if", but it would seem more likely than any beneficial result from state judges …

I’m not quite so confident about Arizona:

Mr Biden is ahead of Mr Trump by more than 68,000 votes with about 88 per cent of the state’s expected total vote counted, according to the AP.

Katie Hobbs, Arizona’s Democratic secretary of state, told Good Morning America that there were 450,000 ballots left to count in Arizona, just under 300,000 of them from Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix and is the state’s most populous county.

Mr Biden needs to win 41 to 43 per cent of the outstanding votes to keep his lead, while Mr Trump needs 55 to 58 per cent to take back the state.

A lot of city votes in that mix.
