If we wanted kids in Parliament we would have elected them

The Greens have now enlisted a two-year-old child in their latest attempt to downgrade the parliamentary process.

Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young appears to have had no difficulty finding a sitter when she wanted to attend the Parliamentary Press Gallery's Mid-Winter Ball, why was it so hard to find someone to mind her daughter, Kora, when Senate duties called? The Senate is not a romper room - or should not be one - though the Greens' stunts reduce any area to the status of a kiddies' playground. The public may be prepared to have a nursing mother breastfeed her baby in the Senate Chamber but that is not the same as permitting it to be used as full-time nursery for toddlers. When important matters, laws that affect us all, are being debated, elected representatives should be giving their full attention to the Bills before them. Not having to deal with tempestuous toddlers. Not that the Greens would see that, in their tiny minds, being elected is akin to a second childhood.
