MULTIPLE tours of Afghanistan left former Australian Army Commando Geoff Evans a changed man, complete with a traumatic brain injury as a result of driving over an IED. Now, he’s desperate to help other veterans find their place when they return to civilian life.
MULTIPLE tours of Afghanistan left former Australian Army Commando Geoff Evans a changed man, complete with a traumatic brain injury as a result of driving over an IED. Now, he’s desperate to help other veterans find their place when they return to civilian life.
The former Lieutenant damaged his back, suffered a traumatic brain injury and now lives in near constant pain as a result of the damage he suffered after the Bushmaster armoured vehicle he was sitting on top of ran over an improvised explosive device.

After being discharged from the Army, Mr Evans decided he would dedicate his life to helping other veterans — those who weren’t so lucky and adapting.
He now works with both RSL Lifecare to help with the rehabilitation of young war veterans and the new Team Rubicon Australia.
