A PERTH counsellor says he’s been forced to resign after posting an article about domestic violence statistics on his personal Facebook page.
Rob Tiller has told Miranda Live, the article — written by columnist Bettina Arndt — cites statistics from a 2001 national survey which claims 23 per cent of young people were aware of domestic violence against their mothers or stepmothers.
LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW:
Mr Tiller says he spent time “making both sexes aware of when they’re being aggressive, or stirring their partner up”.
“I see that unfolding in my couple’s sessions” he told Miranda Live.
Mr Tiller told Miranda Live host Miranda Devine he has made an unfair dismissal claim with Fair Work Australia.
A crowd funding page has been set up to help with his legal fees.
