Accused killer Zlatko Sikorsky remains on life support with a severe head injury more than a week after being bashed in prison.
Sikorsky, 37, is accused of murdering his 16-year-old girlfriend Larissa Beilby in 2018, with a pathologist describing the teenager’s injuries as unlike anything she’d ever seen.
Larissa had left home and was living in a safe house when she met Sikorsky through a friend.
She was reported missing by her father on June 22.
A day later, police tracking her movements knocked on the door of a Buccan property.
Sikorsky allegedly fled in a ute, dumping the vehicle in Stapylton before disappearing.
When police found the ute, they made the horror discovery of Larissa’s body in a barrel on the rear tray.

Zlatko Sikorsky to stand trial over torture, attempted murder of another woman
Sikorsky remained on the run for two days, sparking a massive manhunt that ended with
police surrounding a unit at Alexandra Headland.
He was committed to stand trial on charges of murder, interfering with a corpse, deprivation of liberty and torture late last year.
The committal hearing heard evidence from a highly experienced forensic pathologist who said she had never seen injuries like those on Larissa’s body.
Dr Dianne Little said the teenager had suffered “multiple different impacts” from blunt force trauma to her head, neck and limbs that had resulted in one continuous bruise.
“There was actually evidence of inflammation in relation to quite a number of the injuries, which showed that they had happened before death … and to be honest I have done over 7000 autopsies and I have never seen anything like this,” she told the court.
Last week, a prison officer confirmed Sikorsky was seriously assaulted on the morning of November 10.
“He was belted at unlock this morning,” the officer said.
“Paramedics had to work on him for ages before transportation.
“Apparently he struck his head as he was falling from being attacked.”
Sikorsky’s lawyer has previously said he would fight the charges.
A spokeswoman from the Princess Alexandra Hospital said Sikorsky remained in their care.
He is understood to be on life support in the intensive care unit.
His matter is listed in court on Friday for a mention, although Sikorsky is not required to appear.
