Before brutally murdering his estranged wife, Hannah Clarke, Rowan Baxter had told her horrific stories about plans he’d hatched to kill his older child and former partner, as well as details of a brutal road-rage attack.

ROWAN Baxter had once detailed a horrific plot to Hannah Clarke about how he had planned to murder his former partner and their son.

Hannah was brutally killed by her estranged husband, Baxter, in a car fire last week, alongside her three young children, Aaliyah, 6, Laianah, 4, and Trey, 3.

In an interview with The Australian, Hannah’s friend Nikki Brooks said Baxter had told Hannah about how he had planned to kill his older son Isaiah and ex-partner when the woman had ended their relationship.

Ms Brooks said that Hannah had been told that Baxter had placed a rope in his car and had driven to where his son and his son’s mother were staying.

“He’d driven to do it,” Ms Brooks said.

“He’d prepared what he needed to kill Isaiah and (Isaiah’s mother) and then didn’t do it.

“Isaiah would have been maybe seven or eight. It was the first time she was going to leave him as well.’’

Ms Brooks said Hannah had also heard about a horror road-rage incident where Baxter claimed he almost killed another driver during an altercation that occurred when Isaiah was a baby.

“Hannah just knew there was a road-rage incident — he lost his mind and nearly beat someone to death,” Ms Brooks said.

“He would make it out to be someone else’s fault, of course — someone did something and he acted the way he did because he had a baby in the car.’’
