A Queensland man has pleaded guilty to repeatedly posting sexually explicit videos of his ex on the world’s biggest porn site, but she wasn’t his only victim.

A Queensland man who repeatedly posted sexually explicit videos of his former girlfriend on the world’s biggest porn site has avoided going to jail.
The woman was not the only revenge porn victim of Taskeen Hassan who also posted intimate images of a female associate on Instagram.
Hassan, 32, today pleaded guilty to three counts of distributing visual recordings, distributing intimate images and other offences.
The Brisbane Magistrates Court heard that in 2019 Hassan uploaded a video of his ex-partner engaging in sexual activity to the adult website Pornhub.
Police prosecutor Sgt Tara Williams said while the video was consensual Hassan did not have the woman’s permission to share it.
The victim asked Hassan, who was previously convicted of burning down his family home, to remove the video.
He did so but a few months later reposted it to Pornhub.
The distraught woman again asked him to remove the video which he did, only to upload it on another occasion.
“The repeated uploading and repeated requests to take down the video shows a persistent disregard for the complainant,” Sgt Williams said.
“A year and a half of humiliation at the hands of the defendant.
“The second victim … he didn‘t even acknowledge her request he left the material on the internet.”
Sgt Williams said Hassan‘s actions had affected the first victim’s ability to work and she was forced to take $6000 from her superannuation.
Hassan’s barrister Tony Glynn, QC, detailed his client’s mental health issues including a diagnosis for Borderline Personality Disorder.
Mr Glynn said Hassan, who was born in Bangladesh but came to Australia in 2001, had a difficult relationship with his parents and had struggled to find appropriate treatment for his mental health.
The court heard he told a doctor that he was angry at the time of uploading the video but not specifically towards the victim.
“I didn‘t give any real thought to uploading the video, I can’t explain the rationale,” he said
The court heard he was jailed in 2013 after setting fire to his parents home in Eumundi in a fit of anger.
Mr Glynn said Hassan was positive about overcoming his mental health problems.
Magistrate Belinda Merrin said Hassan had caused the victim significant trauma and distress.
“It impacted on her friends and on her family … her emotional or mental health state,” she said.
“It has impacted on her ability to enjoy social outings … and has caused extreme embarrassment.”
Ms Merrin said the law had been introduced to “recognise the harm” caused when intimate images are distributed and able to be seen by a large number of people.
The so-called “revenge porn” laws were introduced last year.
Hassan was sentenced to nine months prison, wholly suspended, and placed on a three year probation order.
