Seven people have been charged with prostitution offences after police raided four businesses in Brisbane’s bayside.

Police raided four premises on Panorama Drive Thornlands, West Ave Wynnum and two on Old Cleveland Road Capalaba, all were allegedly operating under the guise of legitimate massage parlours.

The charges come after police received multiple complaints from the Redlands area, and the operation was assisted by the Redland City Council.

A Mount Gravatt woman, 40, was charged with advertising prostitution offences after the Thornlands premises was located right near a School.

She will appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on January 19.

A 50-year-old Calamvale woman and a 35-year-old woman were charged with knowingly participating in prostitution offences during the Capalaba search.

A Manly West man was charged during the search with being in places reasonably suspected of being used for prostitution.

A Sunnybank woman, 47, was given a Notice to Appear for advertising prostitution offences at a separate premises in Capalaba.

All were given notices to appear in court on January 19.

A 50-year-old Browns Plains woman and 34-year-old Kenmore Hills woman were charged with knowingly participating in prostitution in Wynnum.

Both were issued with a Notice to Appear in Wynnum Magistrates Court on January 18.
