A QUEENSLAND police officer has been stood down from official duty following allegations of domestic violence.

The 29-year-old man, a constable in the Central Region, has been ordered to perform non-operational duties following allegations he committed acts of domestic violence, and accessed confidential information without authorisation.

The man will work on non-operational duties until the investigation in relation to the allegations if finalised.

A Queensland Police Service statement said the allegations against the officer have not been substantiated.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct.

“This does not mean the allegations against the officer have been substantiated,” the statement said.
