A suspicious device that closed down a major road in Brisbane’s north has been detonated by the bomb squad.
Emergency services, including the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service, as well as specialty police from the Explosive Ordinance Response Team, were called to Brighton this afternoon after a suspect device was located in bushland.
Police closed down the nearby Deagon Deviation while the bomb squad worked to determine what the object was.
