The men killed when the car they were travelling in crashed on the Bunya Highway near Kingaroy on Sunday morning have been identified as Solomon Islands nationals.
The men, who died on the highway near Taabinga, were reportedly in Australia working at a meat factory.
According to local Solomon Islands media, the men were among a group who came to Queensland last year as part of the Federal Government Seasonal Workers Programme.
The men, aged 34 and 39, were killed when the silver station wagon they were travelling in veered off the road and flipped onto its roof.
“Preliminary investigations indicate just before 4.30am a silver station wagon was travelling south west along the Bunya Highway when it left the roadway and overturned,” a Queensland Police Service statement said.
A 24-year-old man who was also in the car at the time was flown to hospital for treatment.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
