Man stabbed three times inside car on Beenleigh Road, Kuraby

A frenzied stabbing attack inside a car travelling along a busy Brisbane road overnight caused a serious crash and left a 29-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle with critical injuries.

A man has been attacked in a brutal stabbing frenzy as he sat in the passenger seat of a vehicle travelling along a busy Brisbane road overnight.

The 29-year-old Moorooka man was stabbed twice in the chest and once in the abdomen by the driver of the vehicle in which he was a passenger.

The attack caused the car to lose control and crash, causing significant damage. The driver fled the scene and has not been seen since.

The attack happened about 9pm on Beenleigh Rd in Kuraby.

Police say the two met at Svoboda Park at the corner of Beenleigh Rd and Stiller Dr, where the victim exited his vehicle and got into the alleged attacker’s vehicle.

It is believed the man and driver were known to each other.

Police and emergency services attended the scene and the man was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition. He has since been placed on life support.

Two crime scenes have been declared and investigations are ongoing.
