A man has suffered serious injuries in a stabbing incident south of Brisbane on Friday night.

Paramedics including critical care attended an alleged stabbing on Chambers Flat Road in Waterford West where a man had been wounded in the chest and back.

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

Meanwhile, in Veresdale an alleged assault at a location off Mouth Lindesay Highway around 11.30pm saw three people hospitalised

A woman in her 20s was taken to Logan Hospital with abdominal injuries, while two men were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with facial injuries.

Another man, who also suffered facial injuries, declined transport to hospital.

Several crashes overnight in the southeast saw three people hospitalised in separate incidents.

In Park Ridge a 24-year-old man suffered serious injuries after he exited a moving vehicle around 11.30pm on the Mount Lindesay Highway.

He was taken to Logan Hospital in a serious condition.

A car crashed into a tree in Capalaba around 3.20am on Redland Bay Road and the male driver was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

In Browns Plains, a man was hospitalised at Logan Hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Macquarie Way at 11.13pm.

Two fires broke out in Brisbane overnight with ambulance and fire crews in attendance.

A building in Alderley caught alight off Lorne Street and Samford road at 11.30pm.

Four QFES crews attended the scene and quickly contained the blaze.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Meanwhile in Inala, paramedics were called to a reported kitchen fire at 1am.

A woman in her 50s was assessed for smoke inhalation.
