Authorities have this morning resumed their search for a man who went missing while kayaking in the Logan River at midday yesterday.

Police are continuing to search for a kayaker missing on the Logan River since midday yesterday.

A 26-year-old Eagleby man was kayaking with a 27-year-old Woodridge man when their craft capsized about midday near Alberton.

The Woodridge man made it to shore and transported to Logan Hospital in a stable condition. Police launched a multi-agency sea and air search to locate his companion.

The search was suspended in total darkness at 6pm Saturday but authorities have returned to the water today.
