Two men are assisting police after a shooting at Alexandra Hills near Brisbane in which a man sustained serious injuries.
Paramedics were called to a private address in on Cambridge Dr about 5.10pm where a 24-year-old man had been shot in the abdomen and forearm.
The man was taken by paramedics, including Critical Care and High Acuity Response carers to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The two men were confronted by an off-duty police officer a short time later in Wellington Point, where one man was detained, and a firearm was found.
The second man fled on foot and he was tracked by dog squad to a nearby property, where he was located hiding in a house.
Both men are assisting police. Investigations are continuing.
Detectives are urging anyone who has any information about the incident or who was in the vicinity and has dashcam footage to contact police.
