Man charged after allegedly stolen car driven off Shorncliffe boat ramp into water
A man has been slapped with a range of charges after an allegedly stolen car was driven off a boat ramp and into the water in Brisbane’s north overnight.

A man has been charged after he allegedly drove a stolen car into the water off the Shorncliffe boat ramp on Saturday night.
At 11.30pm, police received reports of a car driving into the water off the ramp.
When they arrived at the scene, a man and a car were located in the water.
The man swum back to shore without incident and he was taken into custody.
He was not injured.
Police will allege the man had stolen the car from a Banksia Beach address on February 24.
Police will also allege the man was driving under the influence of dangerous drugs before driving the stolen car into water.
The 23-year-old Hamilton man has been charged with two counts of receiving tainted property and one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle without a driver's licence and possessing dangerous drugs.
He is expected to appear in Sandgate Magistrates Court on Monday, March 11.
