A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly assaulting an 18-year-old woman before attempting to push her off a balcony in Brisbane’s CBD.

A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly assaulting an 18-year-old woman before attempting to push her off a balcony in Brisbane City on Thursday night.
The 39-year-old Bongaree man allegedly attempted to push the 18-year-old – who known to him – from a unit complex balcony in Albert Street at about 10pm.
Police attended the scene after multiple residents contacted authorities, where they arrested the 39-year-old man.
The woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
He has been charged with attempted murder (domestic violence offence), assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence offence) and possessing a utensil.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
