Man and woman seriously injured in motorbike crash

A woman is in a critical condition and a man has been badly injured after they were thrown from their motorcycle when it collided with a car in Brisbane’s south-east.

A man and woman have been seriously injured in a crash after being thrown from their motorbike.

At around 4pm a man and woman were riding a red and black Yamaha motorcycle on Mount Cotton Rd, Burbank.

Police allege that at the intersection of Marwah St the motorbike clipped the bumper of a green Hyundai Terracan and the rider and passenger were thrown from the motorcycle.

The passenger, a Loganlea woman, 27, was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

The 29-year-old male driver, from Sunnybank, was also taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver and passenger of the car were not physically injured.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage of the motorcycle before the crash to contact them.
