GoFundMe raises thousands for slain Redcliffe teen

Tributes and thousands of dollars in donations continue to flow for the family of killed Redcliffe teenager Angus Beaumont.

ALMOST $6000 has been raised for the family of 15-year-old Angus Beaumont who was stabbed to death at Redcliffe on Friday night.

A Go Fund Me account has been started by a family friend, as the family comes to grips with the tragedy.

The 15-year-old Clontarf boy was allegedly murdered by two 14-year-old boys with a knife outside the Redcliffe Museum.

On the account – which has been verified by Go Fund Me as legitimate – the family friend said Angus’ friendly persona would live long in their memory.

“Angus was a smart, kind, switched on kid that was going to go so far in life before it was tragically taken from him Friday, 13th March 2020,” the page read.

“He was stabbed and killed at a local skate park from no fault of his own, only that he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

“He left this earth far too early … at 15 years old, he had his whole life in front of him. He was a son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend and is going to be sadly missed by all.”

The page said the family sought donations to help cover the cost of Angus’ funeral.

“His family are now left to pick up the pieces. Not only have they lost a beloved family member but they are now left with the financial burden of covering his funeral costs,” it read.

“This go fund me is to go directly to his parents and will cover the cost of his funeral and any extra funds will be used to allow for them to take some time off work to mourn their son. If you are able to assist please do. No one should have to bury their son.”
