Former Hells Angels bikie Ben “Notorious” Geppert arrested in New South Wales
A former Hells Angels bikie wanted for alleged extortion, robbery and serious assault led police on a chase across suburban rooftops and backyards before his dramatic arrest near the Queensland border.

Former Hells Angels bikie Ben “Notorious” Geppert has been arrested in New South Wales.
Geppert, 28, was arrested by officers from the Tweed/Byron District around 7.15pm yesterday on an existing warrant issued by the Queensland Police Service’s bikie patrol group, Task Force Maxima.
Geppert was wanted by cops for alleged offences relating to extortion, robbery and a serious assault that occurred on the Gold Coast earlier this month.
According to the NSW Police Force, Geppert was spotted standing by a parked car in Harpullia Ct, near Casuarina Way in Kingscliff, triggering the start of what would be an extensive pursuit.
“As officers approached the vehicle, a man who was standing nearby ran away,” a statement issued by NSW Police said.
Police pursued Geppert on foot “as he jumped fences, ran across rooftops and into backyards of homes in the Kingscliff area.”
Running into bushland, Geppert managed to get away momentarily before police would later track down the former bikie with the assistance of Queensland’s Polair.
Geppert was arrested by police around 8.15pm where he was charged with the outstanding arrest warrant.
He spent the night in lockup and is due to appear before the Tweed Heads Local Court today.
It’s expected Geppert will be extradited back to Queensland following today’s court proceedings.
