Two men have died within hours of each other in separate crashes on Queensland roads.

Two men have died in separate instances on Queensland roads on Saturday.

A Gold Coast man has died after he lost control of his motorbike in the Scenic Rim on Saturday afternoon.

Initial reports from police suggest the 49-year-old Ashmore man was riding north along Innisplain Rd when he crashed just before 2pm.

He died at the scene.

Police have asked anyone who may have witnessed the indecent, or has relevant dashcam footage to contact them.

Meanwhile north of Rockhampton, a man has died in hospital hours after his vehicle collided with a parked car on Saturday morning.

At about 9am a 74-year-old Koongal man was driving north on Berserker St when he collided with a parked car.

He was rushed to Rockhampton Base Hospital in a critical condition but died on Saturday evening.

Initial police investigations suggest the man, who was the sole occupant of the car, may have suffered from a medical condition.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing.
