Code silver after prisoner gets on roof of Borallon Jail west of Brisbane

A prisoners has sparked a “code silver” alert at a jail west of Brisbane after climbing onto the facility’s roof, placing it in lockdown.

A PRISONER has taken to the rooftop of Borallon jail, sparking a “code silver”, officers say.

A QCS spokesman confirmed a prisoner climbed on the roof of the jail for a “short period this morning”.

“The prisoner came down of his own accord and has been escorted to the Detention Unit,” he said.

“The prison was placed into lockdown but resumed normal operations after midday.

“Officers responding to the incident have been praised for their professional conduct.”
