Cattle truck rollover southwest of Rockhampton blocks traffic

A heavy vehicle has overturned on a range highway in central Queensland, closing the road for hours.

A B-double truck loaded with cattle has overturned in central Queensland, closing a highway for several hours.

The accident, which involved three vehicles, happened on the Capricorn Highway on the Gogango Range, about 60km west of Rockhampton, just before 2pm.

The highway was closed until after 6pm but had reopened by 6.45pm..

Paramedics assessed a man, who was in a stable condition with a head injury.

There was not yet information on other human or livestock injuries.
