Teen charged after allegedly stabbing boy in back in Gold Coast party precinct
A teenage boy and a woman have been charged following two separate stabbings in southeast Queensland.

A man and teenage boy were hospitalised with serious stab wounds in separate incidents across the southeast overnight.
Detectives have charged a 17-year-old after another boy was allegedly stabbed at Surfers Paradise overnight.
Police say two groups of teenage boys, not known to each other, got into an argument about 11.35pm.
A knife was allegedly produced and a 17-year-old male from Wongawallan was stabbed twice in the back.
Police located a 17-year-old Woodridge boy nearby and he has been charged with one count each of wounding and possessing a knife in a public place.
He will appear in the Southport Children’s Court on Saturday morning.
The victim was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition where he was treated for two small stab wounds in his back.
Investigations are ongoing.
It follows a spate of fatal stabbings on the Gold Coast, including that of 17-year-old Jack Beasley in December 2019.
Coast police have begun using metal detectors in a bid to stamp out knife crime.
Meanwhile, a woman was charged after a 46-year-old man was allegedly stabbed twice in the chest and abdomen with a knife in a central Caboolture home about 11.30pm Friday.
The man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.
A 45-year-old Caboolture woman was charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence offence) and two counts of assault (domestic violence offence).
The man and women are known to each other.
She will appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court today.
