TWO people seen doubling on a pushbike could hold the key to solving the murder of a 15-year-old boy at Redcliffe.

Detectives believe the trio attacked a group of four people, which included the 15-year-old victim, two other boys and a girl in the Redcliffe Museum car park on Anzac Ave about 8.10pm on Friday.

The victims had been walking home from dinner at McDonald’s.

Detective Senior-Sergeant Michael Hogan said three males - whose ages are unknown - were captured on CCTV fleeing the scene.

One of those males has split from the group, while the other two were seen doubling on a bike in the Redcliffe area some time later.

Police are seeking dash-camera footage from along Anzac and Oxley avenues between 7-9pm on Friday night.

“This tragic loss of a 15-year-old boy has affected a lot people in the Redcliffe area,” Det Snr-Sgt Hogan said.

“There’s a friend of theirs who’s life has been tragically ended.”

Police confirmed the murder weapen was a knife, which has not been located and that they suspect the killers are known in Redcliffe.

“It’s very difficult to understand what the motivation is. It would appear it’s unprovoked,” Det Snr Sgt Hogan said.

“Obviously the family is devastated. They’ve lost their 15-year-old son.

“I think it would be a reasonable assumption (the culprits) are known in the Redcliffe area.”

Shocked witnesses to the aftermath of the brutal stabbing have described how paramedics worked tirelessly to save the teenager and ‘everything unravelled really quickly’.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene following reports of “serious bleeding” and found the 15-year-old youth from Clontarf with a single stab wound to his chest.

He was rushed to Redcliffe Hospital in a critical condition but later died.

The 15-year-old’s “chances of survival were pretty slim” before he was rushed to hospital where he later died, an eyewitness said.

Local resident Ben Mihan said he saw someone in an ambulance “getting CPR” before he “was taken away within 10 minutes”.

“You could see the paramedics working really hard to try and save the young man that was in the back of the ambulance... it all happened very quickly,” Mr Mihan said.

Mr Mihan was on his way home from doing his weekly grocery shopping when he noticed “two young males with hoodies running down Oxley Avenue” at 8.17pm last night.

“I noticed the road was closed with lots of flashing lights so I pulled over and spoke with detectives and they obviously told me that someone had been stabbed,” he said.

Mr Mihan said a “nail file” looking knife was “popped into a brown paper bag” by police before “everything unravelled really quickly”.

“There was a knife that was picked up by one of the detectives. It wasn’t large, but it was enough to do damage and that was taken in a paper bag along with some items that were on the ground, including a wallet with some ID cards and a few other pieces,” he said.

“It happened really quickly, everything was unfolding rapidly and detectives were coming from everywhere and there was so many”.

Resident Ella Martin said the “crazy” happening is “such a shock because it’s such a loving community”.

“It’s hard to believe because it’s the sort of stuff you see on the news,” Ms Martin said.

“I have an 11-year-old and a nine-year-old boy, we come here (to the skatepark) regularly and meet up with other families after school.

“The older guys who skate here often help them. It really makes me wonder”.

The tragedy, which occurred near Moreton Bay region’s Corscadden Park, left local resident Danny Dawes in “surprise” although “there seems to be a lot of fights” between teenagers in the area.

“It’s not good but it just goes to show there are a lot of 15 and 16-year-olds who are out of control,” Mr Dawes said.

Mr Dawes, who has a 15-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter who attend a nearby high school, said the incident concerned him.

“That’s just some of the stuff you have around in Redcliffe,” he said.

Police want to speak with three men in relation to the attack.

Police believe two of these men were travelling on a pushbike prior to and after the stabbing.

Investigators are urging anyone who has any information about the incident or who were in the vicinity and has dashcam footage to contact police.

Police are also wanting to speak to the driver of a white wagon (pictured) that left a carpark shortly after the fatal stabbing.

Locals have started to leave floral tributes for the boy at the site where he died.
