Young man shot in Logan, detectives search for car of note

Detectives are on the hunt to locate the driver of a particular car after a young man was shot and seriously wounded south of Brisbane overnight.

Police are urging the public to come forward with information after a young man was shot south of Brisbane overnight, as detectives treat one car with particular interest.

Detectives believe the 21-year-old was shot sometime between 1am and 2am Thursday in the Springwood area.

According to police, emergency services were called to a location behind a block of shops on Dennis Rd, where the man was found with wounds to his back and abdomen.

Police say he was taken in a serious condition to the Princess Alexandra Hospital by paramedics, while a statement from Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed the man was taken to hospital by the High Acuity Response Unit.

The QAS Medical Director also responded to the triple-0 call.

A gold coloured Toyota CHR wagon is of particular interest to officers, who are appealing for dashcam or CCTV footage from around the area.

“Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident or has dashcam between 1am and 3am that captures a gold coloured Toyota CHR wagon to come forward,” a police statement said.
