Brisbane man dies, couple charged with murder after alleged assault at Mount Mee property
A couple have been charged with murder after a man they allegedly tortured at a property north of Brisbane died in hospital.

Two people have been charged with murder after a 23-year-old man they allegedly tortured at a property west of Caboolture died in hospital.
Police were called to a property on McLean Rd at Mount Mee about 8.30pm on Wednesday following reports of an assault.
Samuel Harry Wilcox, 23 from Eagle Farm, was found with serious head injuries and rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition. He has since died.
The Courier-Mail understands Mr Wilcox was found partially buried alive.
A 21-year-old Mount Mee woman and 23-year-old man were initially charged with several offences, including attempted murder. That charge has now been upgraded to murder.
Bella-Louise Rose Scheibel was also charged with common assault, deprivation of liberty, disabling in order to commit indictable offence, grievous bodily harm, serious assault of police officer, torture, wounding and unlawful possession of weapons.
Cooper Anthony William Bunney was also charged with common assault, deprivation of liberty, disabling in order to commit indictable offence, grievous bodily harm, torture, wounding and unlawful possession of weapons.
Scheibel and Bunney both faced Caboolture Magistrates Court on Friday.
The pair are understood to be a couple.
According to court documents the alleged assault took place between April 29 and May 2.
Bunney’s defence lawyer Blair Hoolihan told the court his client was pleading not guilty and requested an adjournment,
Magistrate Kurt Fowler adjourned Bunney’s matter to July 4 and remanded the 23-year-old in custody
Scheibel was represented by lawyer Fiona Graham, with her matter adjourned to May 7, for a bail application.
