A young motorbike rider is in a critical condition after coming off her bike and slamming into a kerb after a crash in Brisbane’s south on Thursday morning.

The crash happened on Nursery Road, Holland Park West, about 7.30am with a woman, believed to be in her 20s, suffering life-threatening neck and arm injuries.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the bike had ended up on the side of kerb.

The woman was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said they received calls to a bike on the footpath.

Police are appealing for dashcam footage or witnesses to assist with investigations.

The public plea comes as the Forensic Crash Unit begins their investigation into the cause of the crash.

Anyone travelling along the road at that time with dashcam vision or information that may assist investigations is urged to contact police.
